Soft drinks flavour standard used to train professional tasters to recognize and scale the intensity of grape-like character. Aminoacetophenone is contributed to soft drinks as a taint by sugar syrups, especially those made with maize. The problem is also associated with growth of bacteria. The compound imparts a fruity, grape-like note, reminiscent of lime blossom, putty, or taco shells dependindgon the concentration.
